On 10/04/2011. Mr. Keo Vy as a cabinet chief and spokesman of the National Committee for Disaster Management stated the Mekong river floods had killed at-least 164 people in 15 provinces and cities since the month of August 2011.

Mr. Keo Vy added that this flash floods had pushed out 215,661 families with out home, foods, water and also destroyed their rice paddies in total of 291,000 hectares.

The death toll in Cambodia that caused by Mekong river floods was went up to 141 people.
Due to continued with heavy rains, the Cambodia government has forced thousand of peoples to left their home to a higher ground for the safety.

Cambodia had urged Indonesia, currently as (ASEAN), to send observers to disputed area ASAP!

On Wednesday, July 20, 2011. Cambodian Foreign Minister Hor Namhong stated that he had requested a third party observers from Indonesia, currently as chair of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations or (ASEAN), need to sent their observers to disputed area between Cambodia and Thailand’s border before we going to withdraw our troops along disputed lands.

On Monday, July 18, 2011. The International Court of Justice (ICJ) had told both countries Thailand and Cambodia to remove their army from the Preah Vihear temple area.

Until now both countries Cambodia neither Thailand had yet withdrawn their armed forces out of the disputed area.

Phnom Penh, Cambodia. On Monday, July 18, 2011. The United Nation’s highest court (ICJ) ordered both sides Cambodia and Thailand immediately pull out their troops from the Preah Vihea temple and all disputed area.

The International Court of Justice drew what it called a “provisional demilitarized zone” around the Preah Vihear temple and told the 2 Kingdom Thailand/Cambodia to allow observers into the dispute area to monitor the cease-fire.

France promised to help Cambodia, Thailand resolved their border disputes

After two days meeting between Prime Minister of France, Mr. Francois Fillon and Prime Minister of Cambodia, Mr. Hun Sen.

French Prime minister agreed to help solve disputes between Cambodia/Thailand border, by provided a copy of maps and a peaceful solution.

Mr. Francois Fillon stated this map was made by Franco Siamese commission during 1905 to 1908 when France ruled the Indo-China.

On Tuesday, June 21, 2011. Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen stated that there are 24 Cambodian soldiers, police, civilians had been killed at Cambodia/Thailand’s border involved in the Preah Vihear temple disputes and 4.6 square kilometers of scrub next to the temple since 2008.

Mr. Hun Sen and all people in Cambodia is so sorry for those who had deaths at Cambodia and Thailand border. Hun Sen added we prayed that there will be no more killing and Cambodia is going to do its best to seek peaceful solution on Cambodia and Thailand border conflict.

A French photographer sentenced to 6 years in Cambodia’s prison

On Tuesday, June 21, 2011. Phnom Penh Municipal court sentenced a 35 years old French photographer included with his Cambodian wife to six years in jail plus 40 million riel in US dollar about $12.107 for child pornography of underaged girls between aged of 8 years old to 13 years old and sold those photos on the Internet.

Mathias Cassar was arrested along with his Cambodian wife in March at one of the quests house in Phnom Penh city while they are taking naked pictures of 3 underaged girls.

Phnom Penh Municipal court stated after Cassar served his 6 years in prison then we will deported him back to his country.

All chickens that imported from Thailand to Cambodia are now on hold

On Tuesday, June 14, 2001. Cambodian’s ministry of commerce Mr. Cham Prasidh gave orders to all border authority to stop all chickens that brought over from Thailand into Cambodia due to health concerned.

Thailand, Nakhon Ratchasima province all chickens slaughterhouses had soaked dead chickens in strong- smelling formalin solution before they delivered them to the market.

Mr. Cham Prasidh stated that people who had ate these formalin chickens would be suffered skin irritation, an inflamed stomach, vomiting and diarrhea; moreover, the prolonged consumption can cause damage to nervous system, sterility and cancer.

Tuesday, June 07, 2011. Tiger Woods the 14-time major winner stated that he could not joint next week’s U.S. Open due to his recent left knee injured during the Masters at Augusta in April.

Woods stated on his website that I am so extremely disappointed that I could not joint next week’s U.S. Open, because I need to follow my doctors to prevent any more damages to his knee and left leg in the future.
