Phnom Penh, Cambodia: Mr. Hun Sen, Cambodian prime minister, would be present at the meeting of the US-Asean leaders after having invited by US President Barack Obama, according to the Foreign Ministry. The meeting will be taken place on September 24, 2010 in New York. By Foreign Ministry spokeman Koy Kuong said that Mr. Hun Sen has already planned to join the New York meeting but not sure about the other countries.
In accordance with The Nation newspaper of Thailand, Mr. Abhisit has been carefully taking it into reconsideration whether he would attend the meeting [or not].
The New York meeting on September 24 is considered that this is to provide a forum for a face-to-face assembly between the two leaders, Mr. Hun Sen and Mr. Abhisit, who have recently been in the deadlock and been trying to use a war of words to each other over disputation on overlapping area, 4.6, which being claimed by both parties.
