Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at approximately 0105 hrs there are over 329 people died and another 337 other were seriously injured (the numbers are not confirmed).
At Kohs Pich or called “Diamond Island” and to day is the last day of Cambodia Water Festival. There are lots of people crossing the bridge to Diamond Island to celebrate the last minute of Water Festival.
But unfortunately it is like a killing field. The causing is from 10 people were suddenly unconscious in the crowd and it is an alarm to someone else. People started to run and most of them were caught under the foot steps.
All the hospital that close by are full of injured people but still not confirm the exact number of people that died or injured at this time.

Cambodia or Kampuchea is my birth motherland…I love her so much just as I love my adopted motherland…I hope that this kind of the accident will not happen again in the future…let me bring up an old story that is similar to that turmoil on the Nov. 22,2010 and happend in the same that four faces-rivers right infront of the Phnom Penh Royal Palace…there is a big boat docking somewhere in that spot,back then is not like nowadays bank of the river in front of the Royal Palace…while docking the boat bottom is standed on the ground or runs aground in the water that no body can see the boat is overloaded and people keep boarding and boarding about almost thousand of them…when the boat is backing up ready leave,it capsized and immediately sunk…hundreds of people drown…no body can help them because the current of the river at that time of that season called doing ceremony of HAAIR BONN KATHEN was so violent and very strong…it was a round 1950 or so or sometime…there were some fishing boats floating around that area at that time…the one that still bothers me most by that accident is why the fingers of handred of corpses that are floating got smashed…please learn from this kind of that KATHEN’s event…in order to put the Koh Pich back to the usual business place,that Nov.22nd-bridge needs to be reformed its style…the tops of all poles…make it simple…the style that it has right now looks like represnting an awesome figure of the religion and looks scary to the old day people and those old people will tell young generation people about what they believe and youg people are the ones who bring the business to that place,not the old ones…it’s my opinion…if it’s not right for your business,do not take it,SIPHY.
i’m very afraid of the koh pich n i don’t want to go to koh pich again i’m very scared and when i watch the tv i see alot of people were died’at night i’m so afraid
