Most people include sellers and buyers start to eat pork recently after they realised the blue-ear disease from pork could not affect to human. According to this event, the head of royal government made an announcement to Cambodian to eat pork back because none disease will infect to human. Even Samdach Hun Sen, the Prim minister of royal government started to eat pork as usual also. In addition, Samdach Hun Sen reported on Tuesday, 17 August for the aim of proclaiming Cambodian to buy and eat pork again with well cooked.

Mrs. Si Nhoy, the pork seller confirmed “Some citizens have habit to follow each other by abstaining eating pork even they don’t know this disease will affect to human or not. If they hear most people avoid eating, they will act the same. Hence, I suggest to Cambodian please come to support our local product buy eating pork back and do not easily trust in fake news that we don’t know the real source. Please trust in our Cambodian authority and government announcement”. Furthermore, the expert of vet appealed to all people please don’t be afraid of blue-ear disease since it could not effect to human being and let return to normal eating.

To remind about the past event of blue-ear disease, we realise hundred of pigs had died from the disease in four provinces whose border Vietnam and spread to half of Cambodia’s 24 provinces. That was awful news that concerned people recently. However, the similar outbreak also used to happen once during 2007 and Cambodia stopped all the imports from Vietnam and Thailand for 8 months.
