Mrs. Kem Dany, the court magistrate of Phnom Penh city decided to jail Mrs. Sao Channy at Prey Sor prison in the case of causing injury with attention to 2 underage siblings who were working as her coolies last 17 August, 2010. This event happened at #157, Plov Lum, Group III, Tirk Tla Village, Sen Sok district.

Mrs. Sao Channy, age 40 years old, was accused by Mr. Ek Cheng Hout who is jurisdictional at Phnom Penh City following the 41st article of the criminal law. In addition to this news, Mrs. Sao Channy was arrested by the force of police officers at 13 August 2010 at her own house after receiving the lawsuit form LICADHO NGO that reported about the 2 underage siblings were suffered from the bad torture by throwing hot water into them and made them rotten their skins with pain. These 2 siblings are a boy and girl whose names: 1) Khem Saray, male, 17 year-old and 2) Khem Srey Mao, female, 14 year-old. Both of them were born in Prey Srong Village, Khum Ong Tasom, Srok Tram Kok, Takeo Province.

Khem Saray stated “I worked here in 2004 while my sister worked in 2007 by receiving 45,000Riel as wage per month. We always get torment from the boss everyday by fighting with a stick, shoes, broom, and pouring hot water into us. Sometimes she lets other person to check up our pockets just to make sure we do not cheat her money while she is selling”. However, this is the brutal actions that cannot be forgivable. Not only this kind of violation, but also other abuses should be punished or put in jail in order to maintain society rules.
