The Professional and Personal life of Sandra Bullock
The ‘While You were Sleeping’ superstar Sandra Bullock was born on the 26th July, 1964 in the Virginia state of the US. She has not only been an actress but has also produced several Hollywood films. In her early days she even opted for odd jobs such as that of a bar tender, cocktail waitress, coat checker, etc. to support herself when she shifted to Manhattan to pursue auditions as a step towards an everlasting acting career.
In 2007, she was recognized as the 14th richest female celebrity with a rough fortune of over $85 million. Her most critically acclaimed films were ‘Speed’, ‘While You were Sleeping’, ‘The Proposal’ and ‘Crash’. Although she ahs done immense number of films which were like by the audience, these 4 films have been the ones which has taken her career to a very high graph.
She has also received appreciation in the form of numerous awards and nominations in the high ranking lists. She was honored with the Golden Globe Award for the Best Actress. Apart from that she has also received the Screen Actors Award for outstanding performance by the Female Lead Actor in a Leading Role and also the Academy Award for the Best Actress for her outstanding and memorable performance in ‘The Blind Side.’
Her career began when she opted for acting classes at the Neighborhood Playhouse in New York, where she appeared in numerous student films. After that, she availed a role in the play, No Time Flat. Due to her impressive performance, she was given a break by the director Alan Levi in a movie Bionic Showdown (1989). After the various ups and downs and great struggle she finally made it to films such as Love Potion No.9 in 1992. After this role, she was widely recognized and acclaimed for all the movies that followed. However, some critics say that apart from the four top movies in her career she did not act well in the list of movies.
Her fame ranked high when she was chosen by the People’s Magazine for being the 50 Most Beautiful People in the world in the year 1996 and 1999. While expanding her forte she also gave a try to producing and her company Fortis Productions came up with a show George Lopez for which she was awarded with a Raul Julia Award for Excellence.
2009 was the best year in the career of the actress as it yielded her two best record high roles in her entire 45 years of age. Not only this, but both the films also crossed well over $3.1 billion worldwide.
Her personal life indeed has been through twists and turns after having a long dating list of actor Tate Donovan, football player Troy Aikman, musician Bob Schneider, actors Matthew McConaughey and Ryan Gosling. She finally married Jesse James in 2005. However, her married life stalled due to infidelity by her husband reported and accepted publicly by him in 2010. She has filed for a divorce and the final decision of separation is yet pending.
