Manchester City are hopeful that they will be striking a deal to sign 19-year-old striker of Inter Milan, Mario Balotelli.
Balotelli, expected to be the new star of the national team of Italy, has netted 28 goals in the 86 appearances he made for Inter Milan ever since he debuted in December 2007.
The president of Inter Milan, Massimo Moratti has already stated that he could be ready to accept the proposals put forward.
Chelsea and Manchester United are the Premier League rivals who are also keen on acquiring Balotelli. If the young Italian Balotelli decides to join Man City, he would become the fifth summer of the Eastland’s club signing after the arrival of, David Silva, Aleksander Kolarov, Jerome Boateng and Yaya Toure.
However, Mino Raiola, the agent of Balotelli has insisted that its not a bypassed conclusion. On Monday, Raiola said, “Balotelli hasn’t signed anything with Manchester City and I doubt that anything will be agreed in the next few days”. Earlier on Monday, Man City boss Roberto Mancini stated to the Italian daily La Stampa, “I was the first to believe in him and I’m convinced about what he can give”.
” Mario has two qualities that suit us: his talent and his age, because I want people able to build a cycle at Manchester City”.
“That said we return to the problem of valuation that has to be just. I like the players at certain conditions. That’s all”. “I think that in a couple of days certain situations will be clearer, but I can’t guarantee in what way.” Balotelli will be traveling with Inter to play pre-season friendly matches in the US, where he will meet his potential employer from the City.
