2 K-54 Guns Taken From The Thieves

Monireth St. was closed especially the spot in front of Royal Palace hotel, after the police was informed there was a group of gun-robbery thief hiding in the hotel. The hotel being in Sangkat Demkor, Tuol Kork District, Phnom Penh, was surrounded and checked by multi-police forces in order to find the suspected people and it was making the people in the city be curios to find out what was happened.

After seeking almost 1 hour, 2 men and women were caught with 2 illegal K-54 guns including 5 modern moto bikes. In that situation, 4 other people was caught and brought to the police office too to make some investigation, but there is no news to prove those later caught people are guilty or no yet.

Due to the first report from the police said all those 4 suspected thieves caught were:
1. 17 year-old boy Si Sovattana, 11 grade student at Bac Touk high school
2. 17 year-old boy Eung Panharith
3. 19 year-old girl Si Sovattana’s fiance Yin Thida
4. 19 year-old girl Heng Pich Neary

Police added those 4 thieves were caught in room number 620, sixth floor in Royal Palace hotel. The scary things to note is that all those thieves are so young which are between 17 to 19 years and they already know how to commit a crime very well. The thieves were suspected to be a group of aggressive robbery robbing a jewelry store in the Phnom Penh city lately. Police added that the evidence leading to catch those thieves successfully was because they spotted a moto bike with blood all over on parking in the hotel, after minutes, the hotel was surrounded and suspects were caught. We do not know the thieve were the same people who robbed the jewelry store lately or not, but the police is in a process to investigate and send them to the court.
